LESS than a month after his move to Kenya league Champions Gor Mahia FC, Uganda Cranes defender Godfrey Walusimbi has set eyes on winning a regional soccer title during the first year of his two-year contract.
After signing a two-year deal at Gor Mahia, Walusimbi told futaa.com that he was convinced to join the club by former Cranes tactician Bobby Williamson and to grow his own football career.
“Gor Mahia is a big and good club. At the club I am hopeful of winning regional titles to begin with, the CAF Champions’ League which I am confident of utilising the platform as well for my career growth,” Walusimbi said.
Walusimbi joins fellow Ugandan defender Israel Emuge and striker Dan Sserunkuuma at the club, and former coach Williamson.
