Marriage put an end to the dreams she had harboured of becoming a teacher. At the time she got married she did not know is her husband was HIV positive and hoped for a long and happy marriage. Christine and Martin were blessed with Six children. While Christine was a farmer, Martin was a petty trader and between them, they had a fairly good income to give their children the basic necessities.
