RONALD Ssebuguzi and Kenyan Hardeep Rehsi handed in their registration forms an hour before closure, raising the number of drivers in the OiLibya Mount Elgon Rally to 34.
The Motorsport Africa Club (MOSAC) organized race due next week is the first national championship event to attract foreign competitors.
Zambian champion Ken Mukosa and Kenyan drivers Denis Mwendwa, Sammy Nyori, Hardeep and Issa Amwari have registered for the race slated for December 6-7.
According the event manager Alfred Mutanda, letters seeking clearance from Zambia and Kenya have already been dispatched and the foreign crews will start arriving this weekend.
Motorsport local governing body, FMU and MOSAC will support ease of entry for Kenyan registered cars that will head direct to Mbale.
Traffic in the route is expected to hit the peak this weekend as competitors do route reccing in Manafwa and Sironko districts which have not hosted a race since the 1999 Independence Rally.
The rally will start with a super special stage on December 6 at Mbale Municipal Stadium ahead of the main leg that will cover competitive sections Manafwa and Sironko districts.
