TPF6: Uganda's Sitenda evicted

While East Africans could not save her from eviction, which is understandable they had to save their own, at least everyone acknowledges Sitenda is a talented girl.

Sometimes the way talents like Sitenda Kisakye’s elude the latter stages of Tusker Project Fame confounds you. While East Africans could not save her from eviction, which is understandable they had to save their own, at least everyone acknowledges Sitenda is a talented girl. She has a strong voice.

But which voice was undone by the two songs Hermis (while serving as music director) chose for her that got her on probation twice.true

She got the second least votes and that sent her packing alongside Tanzania’s Fess.

So, while we accept this to be a competition like any other, how does it feel losing such talents before they fulfill their potentials?

Sitenda’s eviction leaves Uganda’s hopes on Derrick Kojjo and Daisy Ejang after we lost the Under Cover Brothers a few weeks back. She had been fronted as one of the outright favourites at the start of the competition.

The eviction show was not with its drama what with Judge Juliana clashing opinions with music director Muthoni “The Drama Queen.”

The clash followed Juliana’s remarks that Burundi’s Hope didn’t have a good voice to do a Busy Signal song. Muthoni argued it is not about the songs contestants do, but it is the singing that matters. Well, both were right. It had to be faculty coach Kavutha who settled the storm.

Sunday’s show brings a twist to it. Contestants have been paired and grouped up with Daisy paired with Amos (one of the Kenyan duo) and they will be singing Boyz II Men’s “I’ll make Love To You.”

Daisy was good with her lines during the training sessions but they were all warned to watch their breathing and ad libs by coach Kavutha. Kojjo will be singing Michael Jackson’s ‘Man In The Mirror’ together with the other three contestants.
