It will be remembered seasons long after – that in season six, Derrick Kojjo pledged his allegiance to fame and money abandoning his civic duties.

He, in an interesting display of lack of patriotism, voted to keep Bior of South Sudan in the academy ahead of fellow Ugandan Sitenda.

We could speculate on his motives but we have it from a reliable source that the Ugandan is on a mission to extinguish any impediments to his eventual enthronement.

Sitenda, a gifted vocalist, is one such impediment; his betrayal baffled Sitenda and prompted a social media uproar – vilifying Kojjo as a selfish contestant.

However, Sitenda later survived eviction at the expense of the South Sudanese. But even then, social media was awash with reproaching comments that climaxed with wishes to put Kojjo on probation for his disloyalty.

As it stands, regardless of how well he sings, if Kojjo gets on probation soon he might not get a second chance unless it is from the faculty.

The fans back home are also worried as to what kind of relationship their contestants enjoy after that apparent falling out.

Who is up for eviction?

It was an exciting probation show with a younger music director – Muthoni the Drama Queen living up to the drama in her title by giving stage to funky tunes – just how we like it.

Her music selection adapted the voices of most of the contestants making the judges work even harder. In respect to the various performances it was almost plausible that for the first time judges would put themselves on probation to applaud the quality of talent displayed.

So when the judges got to pronouncing the contestants on probation, it shocked the Kenyans to see Amos and Josh, after what was obviously a stunning performance, be put on probation.

Uganda’s Sitenda took yet another shock before she recovered from Kojjo’s disloyalty, she was put on probation again even after the judges deliberated that she had found her niche again.

Fess is also back on probation and bets favour him for eviction while Burundi’s deep-voiced Hope is also on probation for the first time after the judges thought he was beginning to get comfortable and not pushing himself.

While the contestants were fussing about eviction, here, the fans were minting million from watching – Namato Proscovia won a cool sh1m courtesy of the Watch and Win promotion.

She received the cash at Panamera after the exclusive viewing party.
