Kampala City Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago has reacted furiously to a tribunal report which clears the process for his removal from office on grounds of abuse of office, incompetence, misconduct and misbehavior. FULL REPORT IS BELOW.
Lukwago told a news conference in Kampala at 4GC office on Katongoa Road just minutes after the tribunal report was presented to the minister in charge of Kampala, that the findings and the recommendations of the report tantamount to mockery of democracy and the rule of law.

“The tribunal was a kangaroo court aimed at denting my image. I have faced similar courts and I have been charged on several counts and I have served my sentence. This is not the first case. I vow to continue fighting for the freedom of our people,” said Lukwago who was flanked by opposition leaders.
The tribunal chairperson Justice Catherine Bamugemereire presented the report to minister Frank Tumwebaze.

According to Lukwago, the proceedings of the tribunal were illegal. He said he was handled in a dehumanizing manner and that was subjected to intimidation from Police which surrounded the court where proceedings were took place.
Flanked by MPs Mohammed Nsereko, Betty Nambooze, Semmujju Nganda, Ken Lukyamuzi and former FDC president Dr. Kizza Besigye, Lukwago said he will announce his next move to his electorate on Monday.
