Undercover brothers return from TPF, remain upbeat

The Ugandan singing duo Undercover Brothers are back in the country after becoming the first to be evicted from the Tusker Project Fame Academy on Saturday evening, but they are not blaming anybody for their fate.

Jailer Mulungi and Timothy Kirya said the pressure in the house was the reason they were evicted.
 

“There is a lot of pressure in that house. It weighed on us and we failed to make it to the next level,” said Mulungi.
 

“It is not easy singing together in that academy. So many things affected us like the sounds and their tempos. We would not click ourselves like it was during rehearsals and that really affected us,” said Kirya.
 

The boys were put on probation for failing to improve on their vocals and got the least block votes amongst East African voters.

They got back in the country on Monday and immediately vowed to improve on what they learnt from the house so as to revive their music careers still in the diapers.
 

“We have learnt a lot in that house because we were working with professional people who showed us our weaknesses.

And we hope to improve on them to make it bigger. Our fans should be ready to get the best from us,” added Mulungi, also a guitarist.
 

Asked who they think will win the contest, the boys, who got their name from their past experience before TPF, said the Kenyan duo made up of Amos and Josh could take it.
 

“While we think our Ugandan team is strong and will make it to better stages, those Kenyan boys Amos and Josh will take it. They are good, have experience and have been together,” said Kirya.
 

The Ugandans still in the house are Derrick Kojjo, Daisy Ejang and Sitenda Kiskaye. None of them was nominated this week, a feat that left contestants two Kenyans Jennifer and Fess, Phionah (Rwanda) and Angel (Tanzania) on the chopping block.
