ARTHUR Blick announced retirement after sealing a 10th national motocross championship last season but the prolific rider appears to have his hands still stuck on the bike.

Excited by the return of Barak Orland and urged on by his adoring fans, Blick will compete in seventh round of the Mountain Dew Motocross championship at Busiika today.

“My fans want some entertainment, the bike is in sound condition and I still have the skill so Why not step out and have fun? I am not seeking an 11th title but I just want to gauge the pace of the current riders as I entertain spectators,” Blick told Sunday Vision.

It will be the second time Blick competes this season.

Unissan Bakunda and Yasin Bukala are the other top contenders in the MX1 category.

The MX 1 class, it will be family battle as siblings Talha Kiggundu and Fatuh Kiggundu who are in contention for national title face off.

Their uncle Ahmed Tamale who is third in the championship has chance of claiming the title. Blick who is the only rider to have won 10 national titles concentrates on nurturing his sons Alestair Blick and Paddy Blick who compete in the 85c.c and 65c.c national championships respectively.

South African free-style rider Nick De Wit will entertain spectators at Busiika in the event sponsored by Mountain Dew.

Free-style riders are popular with Ugandan fans whom they thrill with flying antics.
