HOME pride will inspire Heathens to victory in today’s East Africa Rugby Super Cup return match against Kenyan champions Nakuru RFC, according to Heathens star Mathias Ochwo.

The Ugandan champions will stroll out at the Kyadondo grounds determined to overturn their 23-3 away first leg defeat in Nakuru.

Ochwo reasoned that his club will ride on its clean home record this year.

Heathens have won all the home games and are looking forward to overturning the 20 point deficit.

“Home pride is something that must be defended first and that is why we shall attack them right from the beginning, now that key players like Bishop Onen, Kingasia (Evans) Brian Kikawa and myself are back,” the tall lock added confidently.

“It’s going to be a big one but we have to pick up a 20 point score before thinking of them scoring. We can’t be humiliated at national level and at club level,” Ochwo stressed before adding that if they lose at home, it will demoralise Ugandan rugby.

Heathens need to win by a 21 point margin to lift the trophy a feat Nakuru coach Dominique Habimana believes is next to impossible.

“We didn’t come here to just let in tries, but I am confi dent we will take home the Super Cup home,” Habimana stated.

Notable on the available players’ list that missed the first leg are Bishop Onen, winger Lawrence Ssebuliba, center Evans Kingasia, lock Ochwo and fast running winger nick-named (boda-boda) Brian Kikawa.

Coach Brian Tabaruka placed all his hopes on discipline.

“We will have an edge over them only if we have discipline.”
