Musiimo never had an opportunity to enjoy a normal childhood. With a polygamous father who was bed- ridden for most of his childhood and a peasant mother who was basically helpless, Musiimo had to peddle kabalagala and roast groundnuts to pay for his school fees as early as P4 and for the rest of his education.
But today, the 39-year-old economics graduate is one of Bunyoro sub-region’s most enterprising young entrepreneurs.
He owns a chain of schools, a group of hotels; plantations of pine trees and commercial buildings in Kigumba town council and Kiryandongo, writes Agnes Kyotalengerire.
