Singer Maurice Kirya mourns mother

SINGERS Maurice Kirya, Vampino Kirya and Sabba Sabba are mourning the death of their mother Sophie Baguma who succumbed to cancer on Sunday after a courageous battle.

Since last evening, social media platforms are swelling with condolence messages to the Kirya family especially from fellow musicians and entertainment friends.

When Maurice Kirya opened a coffee shop and restaurant in Kampala, The Sound Cup, his mother used to frequent it and was actually part of management.

Reports say that she has battled cancer for a couple of years and at one time underwent a mastectomy.
