Kit sponsors Asiatic Sports have done all in their means to ensure the She Cranes are smart at the World Cup.

They have fulfilled their promise of dressing the team with an improved kit. The outfit covers casual, training and warm-up wear together with the home and away competition wear.

The team couldn’t hide their excitement over the kit made in the black, yellow and red national colours.

“It is a good kit,” said team captain Peace Proscovia.

The home uniform is red with a yellow side strip with black neck and arm lines. The away dress is red with a yellow side strip and black neck and arm lines.

The training tops and shorts are almost similarly coloured. The kit is complete with polo shirts windcheater and tracksuits.

She Cranes skipper Proscovia said: “It’s really nice and we appreciate the offer. Am sure we shall look so smart in in Sydney.”

Similarly the team’s dependable center player Halima Nakachwa added, “It’s classic compared to the old jerseys we have been using in past tournaments.”

The national team was using jerseys that were bought in 2013 ahead of the Africa Netball Championships.

The old playing costume is red in colour for home and black for away games. But their new home jersey stays true to Uganda’s flag colours with yellow and black stripes for home matches.

The jersey for the away encounters has red and white.

Speaking at a press briefing, National Council of Sports (NCS) general secretary Jasper Aligawesa thanked the sponsors for accepting to partner with the Uganda Netball Federation in promoting the sport.

“We as NCS encourage federations to partner with promoters and we are happy you (Asiatic Sports) accepted to be part of the sponsors of these gallant ladies,” Aligawesa said.
