Further to previous Bulletins and Public Notices, compensation and resettlement process for the land and properties affected by development / construction of the Kampala – Entebbe Expressway is on-going. Verification and payment of PAPs / Claimants continues. Mott MacDonald in association with Kagga & Partners, were contracted by UNRA to prepare and implement the compensation and resettlement process / exercise.
Public strip map display has been done in the project area and the Chief Government Valuer has since approved the valuation report for areas specified below; therefore, verifi cation for compensation of PAPs / Claimants will now proceed for the affected areas. PAP / Claimant verification precedes payment and is absolutely necessary.
Accordingly, UNRA notifies and invites all the affected persons in Section 4 (Km 14.5-19) in villages specified to report for verification at the specified venue / place on dates and times indicated. This information will also be on radio and / or with the area LC1 Chairperson, in addition to the Consultant’s offices.
