New Vision learns the tragedy occured last week.

Justice Kasule described the incident as a great tragedy for the whole family.

Flanked by his elder brother Dr Robert Ssebunnya, Kasule told New Vision in his chamber that according to the Denver Police report where the deceased was living, his son was killed in the morning of Monday June 22 as he had just left his apartment in Denver area headed for work.

Though looking a bit composed at his chambers, Justice Kasule said that according to the police information that had just filtered in from Denver, it was not true that his son fell from a balcony of his apartment located on level 9 as the first rudimentary information had stated.

'Great shock'

Ssebunnya, the presidential advisor on Buganda affairs, told New Vision that the death of his nephew Kasule was a great shock to them for he was a healthy young man who had no complaints whatsoever.

He was the first born of Mr and Mrs Miriam Kasule.

“We were thrown into great shock upon receiving the sad news on Monday,” Ssebunnya said.

Ssebunnya said that the late Kasule studied business administration for his first degree in Agra, India after which he briefly returned to Kampala before joining California University to pursue his second degree in Economics and Mathematics.

According to Ssebunnya, the body of the deceased is expected at Entebbe by Ethiopian Airlines on Monday July 6 between 9 and 10 am.

Ugandan A-Plus Funeral Service Company is entrusted with the funeral service while Pinkin, a Denver funeral service company, is in charge of ensuring the return of Dennis’s body.

Upon arrival, the body will be taken to Nsambya Catholic Church for the first requiem mass before it is taken to the parents’ home at Muyenga where the vigil will be held.

On July 7, the body will be taken to Lubaga Cathedral for the official requiem mass, before being taken to the ancestral burial home situated at Kyengera village along Masaka Road.

The following day, the body of the late Kasule will be taken to Mugongo Catholic village church that was started by his late grandfather John Ssebunnya Kasule for prayers  after which the final sendoff will be held starting at 4pm local time.

Dr Ssebunnya expressed gratitude to the Ugandan Community in Denver and Maryland, US, particularly Ali Mugisha and Engineer John Fisher Bakka Kasule for their innumerable contribution since the death of his nephew.
