The National Animal Genetic Resources Centre & Data Bank a body corporate under the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry & Fisheries was established by an Act of Parliament in 2001 and is mandated to spearhead livestock breeding in the country. The organizati on manages 13 functi onal government farms located in different parts on the country where diff erent conservati on and breeding acti viti es are undertaken and products sold to the public at aff ordable prices.
