Bulemeezi F.C. raised their hopes of qualifying for the quarter final stage of the Masaza after beating Buluuli F.C 1-0 at their home ground Bukalasa.

With seven points, they are tied with Buluuli, although the latter has the edge in the form of a better goal difference.

Joshua Kigozi put the home team into the lead seven minutes into the game.

Having lost 3-2 to Bugerere F.C. the previous week, Bulemeezi revised their mistakes and it paid off.

But now they will have to step up their game even more if they are to go all the way to the final.

Captain Joshua Kigozi put his men in the lead from the spot after Brian Mugume was brought down by an opponent in the box.

Early after restart, Micdad Senyonga had the opportunity to put the visitors on level score but he hit wide.

Both teams are heading into a decisive fixture this Sunday if they are to open their chances of securing a place in the quarter finals.

Either team will be looking closely at the performance of the other in their next respective fixtures.

Bulemeezi travel to Nakisunga to play Kyagwe F.C  in a must-win encounter for them.
