A full field of golfers from across the country is expected at the Captain's Bell Golf Tournament that commemorates a new term of office of both the lady and men golf captains, at the Uganda Golf Club tees off on Saturday.

Golfers will not only be looking to excel and win several prizes lined up for the day, but will also be aiming at sinking in that elusive hole-in-one that will come with the sh255m 3DX Super Backhoe Loader truck staked by sponsors JCB.

Captain's Henry Lugamba and Katy Kabenge were re-elected in March and are re-launching their new term with the sh25m sponsored open tournament.

JCB marketing representative Priscilla Musoke said in future Ugandan golfers will have a chance to fly to the JCB headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire where they are constructing an 18m pounds course as part of their future sponsorship to golf.

"We are happy to have a new sponsor, to have them is an incredible statement of confidence in golf and the tournament," Rugamba said.

Lady Captain Kabenge said the tournament will partly act as reward for the golfers who voted them back in office for the second year.

Top golfers in the men groups A-C and the ladies groups, A and B will walk away with prizes in the medal format of play tournament.

But that will be after a fundraising event in support of rescuing and raising orphaned and vulnerable children featuring Watoto Children's Choir on Friday.

A brand new car for a hole-in-one on hole-No.9 and a return air ticket to Europe are some of the prizes on the day for the top golfers in the tournament sponsored by ICEA Group, Coca Cola, Toyota, KLM, Serena Hotel and Power FM.
