Friends have been nursing her since she was admitted after complaining of severe pain in the arms.

“She was diagnosed with a tumour as big as a snooker ball,” sources who sought anonymity said.

“She has been a happy woman, always partying. However of recent, she lost so much weight,” said a Ugandan associate from Tottenham.

Sarah, a former dancer with the army band, had to end her love affair with a young man from Masaka after Amin, in a radio announcement, declared that Sarah’s baby, who was born on Christmas Day in 1974, was his child.

Amin eventually wedded Sarah as his fifth wife in 1975, during the Organisation of African Union Summit in Kampala.

She stayed with him long after he was overthrown. While in Saudi Arabia, she gave birth to Faisal Wangita, one of Amin’s reported 43 children.

In 1982, Sarah left Amin in Saudi Arabia and sought refuge in Germany, where she tried her luck at modeling before moving to UK where she ran a restaurant until about five years ago.
