Thailand PM at State House for talks with Museveni

The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand who is also the Minister of Defense Yingluck Shinawatra has arrived in Uganda for an official state visit at the invitation of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand who is also the Minister of Defense Yingluck Shinawatra has arrived in Uganda for an official state visit at the invitation of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The visiting Prime Minister went to State House, Entebbe for talks with her host.

Yingluck Shinawatra whose African tour will see her visit Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda to strengthen economic ties between African countries and Thailand will hold tete a tete meeting with President Museveni and later have a bilateral meeting that will include technocrats from both countries.

Museveni was in Thailand on an official visit in 2012 during which the two leaders discussed various bilateral and regional issues, especially trade, investment and technical cooperation.

They also signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of bilateral consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and that of the Republic of Uganda.
