Uganda Sports press Association (USPA) members have been urged to stick to ethics and professionalism not only while conducting their duties but in their daily activities.

USPA President Sabiiti Muwanga made the appeal in his speech during the Nile Special Uganda Sports Press Association monthly meeting at Imperial Royale Hotel on Monday June 1, 2015.

"We are professionals in our area of operation and we should be professional not only while conducting our duties in the field but also how we react to issues that arise in the course of our work," Muwanga stated.

Muwanga also cautioned members against the use of abusive language to any person in any offices regardless of the disagreement that may exist.

The USPA president also urged members to be calm as his executive and FUFA executive will be meeting to iron out the accreditation issue during the Uganda Cranes games.

He later announced Clive Kyazze (Urban Tv) and Vianey Nsimbe (Observer) as assistant secretary and Head of Education respectively.

USPA votes Miya

The USPA members later voted Kobs player Farouk Miya as the Nile Special USPA sportsman of the month of May.

Miya whose scoring form helped his side Vipers win the Azam Premier League, also scored for Kobs in the 2-0 defeat of Rwanda in the Africa championship qualifiers on Saturday.

He defeated the rally crew of Arthur Blick Jr. and Unisan Bakunda and athlete Ronald Musagala.
