Construction of 27 bridges, six dual carriageways begins

When floods swept bridges before the 2011 general elections, farmers lost hope of making Profits as transport costs shot up.In the affected areas, locals started demanding that the Government should work on the bridges. So in the 2011 manifesto, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Government promised to fix 27 bridges. It also promised to make six highways dual carriageways.
