Africa 2000 Network - Uganda is a local Non-Governmental Organisation registered with the National Board for Registration of NGOs and duly registered with the Ministry of Justice as a Company Limited with Guarantee without Share Capital in 2002. The organisation has a national mandate and it operates in 30 districts of Uganda spread in six regions i. Eastern, ii. Mid- Eastern, iii. Central, iv. Northern, v. Western and vi. South- Western.
In northern Uganda, A2N–Uganda has been operational since 2008 when it re-opened there after the insurgency gearing all its activities towards revitalising the agricultural sector and improving livelihoods of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) during their resettlement to mitigate the risk of food insecurity as people returned to their ancestral villages
