KCCA Leopards are set to represent Kampala in the 17th edition of the East and Central Africa Inter-cities Basketball games on May 27 to 31 in Dar-es-salam.

The five-day annual tournament will involve both men and women teams from over ten cities in the region.

The Leopards were flagged off to the tournament by KCCA Executive Director Jeniffer Musisi on Monday. The team has been given a break from the FUBA league and their earlier fixture against KIU Rangers on Wednesdayy will be played on another date.

KCCA will compete alongside several other cities that include defending champions Nairobi, Bujumbura,Cairo, Mogadishu, Qatar, Kigali, Mombasa and hosts Dar-es-Salaam.

Others teams from Somalia represented by Mogadishu, Quardho and Garowe and those from South Sudan featuring Juba, Citizen and Malakal are also expected.

Meanwhile the FUBA league continues on Wednesday with Our Saviour hosting the StarTimes Falcons at YMCA. Our Saviour who only got their second win on Sunday against the Diamonds in the Sun, face yet another daunting task in the Falcons who are yet to lose in six games.

Syrus Kiviri, Steven Mwesige and Yves Kalambai will turn guns on their former side, Falcons who are coming off another flawless performance in their 81-65 win over the Diamonds in the Sun.

The Falcons seem to have found perfect replacements in Joseph Ouma and Arile Okall who together with free scoring Caesar Kizito and the evergreen Steven Omony should be a handful for the 'Jesus never stops' side.

The Diamonds are also in action in the first game of the day against Sharing in a battle of the relegation threatened sides. Both teams are last and second last on the log and are both looking for their first points.

Kampala International University sides the Rangers and the Titans also play host to A-1 Challenge and Ndejje University in Kansanga.
