Katigondo reconnects with Rome's Pontifical Urban University

Katigondo National Major Seminary has been re-affiliated to the Pontifical Urban University.

Katigondo National Major Seminary has been re-affiliated to the Pontifical Urban University.
This means that the seminarians of Katigondo will be receiving a Bachelor’s Degree of the Pontifical Urban University, Rome, further to the Diploma of Katigondo National Major Seminary, upon completion of their three-year course in Philosophical Studies.

This was announced by the Seminary’s Dean of Studies, Fr. Dr. John Baptist Busuulwa, during the seminary’s graduation ceremony, which took place at the seminary in Masaka on Friday, May 22.
The Bishop Emeritus of Kasese, Eugidio Nkaijanabwo, presided over the graduation function, during which 86 seminarians were awarded the Seminary’s Diploma in Philosophy.

The seminarians who graduated were sent back to their respective dioceses, for a year-long Pastoral experience, after which they will go to either Ggaba or Kinyamasika National Major Seminary, to do a four-year course in Theology, subsequent to which they will be ordained into the Catholic priesthood.
