The second edition of Krump UG championship was over the weekend at the National Theatre attracting over 35 individual dancers.
While it was a fun-filled affair with youthful dancers pulling off amazing dance cyphers, one thing organisers dragged on with was the time.
The event was meant to start at 3:00pm but, until 5:45pm, they were waiting for people to fill up, keeping others begrudgingly waiting.
Anyway, when the activities started, there was no stopping. Under the theme, "Dance For A Positive Reason," dancers of the day had to engage in typical street-like dances such as Krump cyphers and boy cyphers.
Dancing on the funky beats, it was a case of the strongest and "illest" of them surviving elimination and boos. They kept eliminating those who failed to cut the grade.
The last Krump dance battle was in 2013 but this one benefited from the massive social media attention to garner the numbers that made it.
