CLERK of the Course for the Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Rally, David Bitalo, has cautioned local drivers to be careful during the event because the sections are short and more challenging.

Bitalo was responding to questions during an interview on how preparations were going on to have a well-organised.

“The sections are short and more challenging with many swamps and if it rains we expect a slippery surface so drivers should be careful,” Bitalo stated.

“Some drivers think that since it is a one-day event, they will go out to prove their machines. But it may be risky for them,” Bitalo cautioned.
