Vipers football club have won the 2015 Azam Uganda Premier League with one match left the end of the season.
Vipers have 66 points now and are left with a game against BUL FC while Villa on62 points will conclude the season with a game against Bright Stars FC.
Vipers confirmed their status as the 2015 champions after beating Uganda's most successful football club SC Villa 2-0 at Nakivubo Stadium on Friday.
Deus Bukenya opened the score line in the first half before assistant team captain Farouk Miya doubled the lead before a capacity crowd.
"We are champions and I'm very grateful for football fans in Uganda. I had never seen this at a league match here. I even don't think those are Villa or our fans only," Miya said in a post-match interview.

Villa team captain Isaac Muleme conceded defeat after the match saying, "Frankly the best team has won. They (Vipers) played a better game than us."
Indeed, SC Villa found themselves on the back foot for most of the match, something that appeared to encourage Vipers to press hard for goals.
Both Vipers and Villa have a game to end the season but Vipers will only be out to keep their status as the only team to have lost only one match.
