A COPA Coca-Cola select dream team of 20 players will represent Uganda in an international friendly against Kenya this weekend.

A COPA Coca-Cola select dream team of 20 players will represent Uganda in an international friendly against Kenya this weekend.


The top cream of the U-17 players was picked by the technical team after the two-week championship that ended in Hoima on Saturday.

St. Mary’s SS Kitende emerged champions after beating Masaka SS 4-0 in the final.

The dream team, handled by coach Nimrod Kintu, was picked from over 1,200 players representing 58 teams that took part in the 23rd edition of the annual soccer tournament.

The dream team has Francis Anyakun (Moroto High), Hasadu Kazibwe (Star SS Jessa), Steven Sserwadda (Old Kampala SS), Najib Wasswa Kiwafu (Welden School), Ronald Kikonyogo (Sentah College), Keni Saidi (Ryakasinga CHE) and Yazidi Wamala (Brainstorm).

The other players are Bashir Asiku (Risah Standard), Francis Ndushire (Kigezi High), William Katende (London College), Rashid Ochulum (Buhobe SS), Godfrey Yoningom (Rock High) and Fred Tabu (Kibuli SS).

Also on the list is Najib Fefali (Jinja SS), Nurdin Bunjo (Kitende), Joshua Wacha (Lango College), Walter Ochola (Amus College), Sabir Andama (Arua Public), Franis Onekalit (St. Joseph’s College Layibi) and Frank Tumwesigye (Kakungulu Memorial).
