SURVEYORS REGISTRATION BOARD

The Surveying Profession and Practice in Uganda is governed by the Surveyors Registration Act (Cap 275). The Regulatory Body for Surveying Profession is SURVEYORS REGISTRATION BOARD. The Act defines and provides that a “Surveyor” includes:-

Land Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Mining and Hydrological Surveyors, Valuation Surveyors as well as Land Agents and other Professionals responsible for the management of Land and/or buildings. Please NOTE that it is illegal for any person to practice surveying in Uganda, as defined above without a Registration Certificate AND A VALID Practising Certificate issued by the Board. A Practising Certificate is issued by the Board annually on application by a Registered Surveyor and it expires on 31st December
