Layibi College maintained their impressive start in the COPA Coca-Cola Schools Championship by advancing to the second round on Monday.

The team beat Sentah College 2-1 in group C of the annual soccer competition held in Hoima.

Layibi joined Risah College, Jinja SS, St. Charles Lwanga Kasasa and Ryakasinga Centre of High Excellence in the round of 16.

St. Mary SS Kitende, Kibuli SS, Juliana High School Gayaza and Kigezi College Butobere had earlier on stormed the last 16 stage.

Meanwhile, Premier SS were disqualified for fielding an ineligible player in group A.

Action will continue with more games on Tuesday.
