It's more than a month since Emmanuel Mayanja Hummertone aka AK47 was laid to rest after dying under mysterious circumstances. AK47 made up a quartet of the singing Mayanja brothers before his passing.

The other three are; Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel, Joseph Mayanja aka Chameleone and Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso.

The brothers always had their feuds; AK47 quit big brother Chameleone's Leone Island and teamed up with his rival Jeff Kiwanuka under Team No Sleep and his other brother Pallaso.

Weasel also broke away from Chameleone together with his partner Franco Sekibogo aka Radio to form the Goodlyfe crew.
The friction among the brothers has always been fodder for the media and sometimes got nasty.

Singing or performing on the same stage was a rare sight; however, on Friday during Chameleone's show at Kyadondo rugby grounds the three brothers performed on the same stage in memory of their late younger sibling AK47.

Pallaso and later Weasel performed to a raucous crowd before the video of AK47's “Tugende Tukikolemu” was played in his memory on giant screens, sending the crowd into a deathly silence.

Emotions run high as Chameleone's wife and Daniella Atim Mayanja and socialite Judith Heard, who shared a table that evening, shed tears.

Among other performers was Pastor Wilson Bugembe who prayed for artists at the request of Chameleone.

The local music fraternity has recently been rocked by shocking deaths including Martin Angume, AK47, Harriet Kisakye and most recently Vincent Semmambo aka Moroz.

Hajati Madina Kansiime Nambooze aka Hajati Bibuuza is hospitalised at Mulago fighting for her life.

"On this day it will be remembered that God's people prayed to Him and death among celebrities, singers, politicians and faith leaders stopped. No more dying," Bugembe prayed.

Pallaso meanwhile praised his elder brother as the top musician in the country.
