D-Mark Power have had a number of tests but have maintained an unbeaten run in the Airtel National Basketball League so far.

The side will face a fresh hurdle in the fifth-placed KIU Titans at Lugogo Indoor Arena today.

Table leaders Power, with a haul of 16 points so far, take on a side with the potential to cause an upset in the second game of the day.

Action will start with the women’s game involving fourth-placed KIU Rangers and Makerere Sparks, who are second from bottom in the Federation of Uganda Basketball Association contest.

The 2011 Most Valuable Player and Power’s veteran Isaac Afidra said they are aware of Titans’ ability.

“We are going to play our own game no matter how things will be going,” Afidra said.

“We respect the side and aware of their fitness levels and quick game, its one game at a time and after the win, we will see what happens next.”

After today’s match, Power will meet another unbeaten side –– UCU Canons next month.

Meanwhile, in Wednesday show, UCU Canons Charging beat Rhinos 58-34 in the men’s category.

In the other game at the same event, Galaxy Falcons outwitted Nkumba Marines 63-42.

Guard Syrus Kiviri made double point figures (21 points) as title favourites Canons cruised to another victory.

Abullahi Ramadhan scored a game-high 22 points in Falcons’ victory.
