Youth unfazed as AK47's dad pleads with govt over weed

During the burial of his son Emmanuel Mayanja aka AK47 on March 20, 2015, mzee Gerald Myanja pleaded with government to save the young generation including his sons from the enslavement of marijuana commonly known as weed!

During the burial of his son Emmanuel Mayanja aka AK47 on March 20, 2015, mzee Gerald Myanja pleaded with government to save the young generation including his sons from the enslavement of marijuana commonly known as weed!

Mayanja noted that weed is wiping out the young generation and if it were possible government would put in place measures to ensure all weed gardens, wherever they are, were destroyed.

The plea came following the untimely death of his youngest son AK47. Much as mystery surrounded the cause of death several sections of the public pointed to drugs after reports that bits of weed had been found at Dejavu bar where AK47 met his death.

Mayanja's pleas came at a time when several youth have taken to the habit and ended up in dire consequences. It is a vice indeed wiping out the generation. Youth don't really care where they smoke weed from as seen in the pictures.

Busabala beach that belongs to a popular musician notorious for the habit is a favourite hangout for youth that flock the place on weekends and festive days to puff away with abandon. Busabala is notorious for drug abuse. The Police have often clashed with residents over smoking marijuana and other crimes.

The pictures show revellers who attended the concert over Easter, who seemed unbothered as they puffed away on the illicit drug in the open, while enjoying entertainment by musicians.
