It is for this reason that they hosted their friends and family at a thanksgiving ceremony held at Mirembe’s home in Kisaasi, along the northern bypass on Friday evening.
According to Mirembe of the Nali manyi fame, the ceremony was held to celebrate their miraculous escape from the jaws of death and a new chance to serve God even better.
The event started just a few minutes after 6:00pm and it was all merry making for the entire guests that turned up for the ceremony.
Numerous gospel artistes graced the function and there was entertainment from several of them including Joy Tendo who performed her runaway hit single, Tewali Mbeera to soothe the ‘survivors’.
Despite the rains that threatened to halt the celebration, many people still stayed till late to celebrate the lives of their beloved artistes.
