Last Thursday saw yet another fashion show held at Club Silk, in spite of criticism that they are not quite doing it right, and that fashion shows have no business being held in night clubs.

But when fashion shows Are in this town, it is Club Silk that has kept them alive, so maybe they deserve a pat on the back for that.

But the criticism was justified, as the show started well after 11.00pm, and it was performances by musicians that drew the largest applause.

Fashion Re-Union was formed to inspire designers to come up with original fashion, a supposed to numerous shows where clothes from boutiques are showcased.

This is the second time it is being held, and over ten designers converged at Club Silk to celebrate the second coming. Design houses included Madele, Shuba, Uzuri, Six Stars Trends, Mutanda, XP clothing and Africa. Others were Rweazy Rwezler, Heather Nanteza and Salim, Arch Fashions, Pamela, Macho, and Prosper Byamungu.

The designs mainly made from African fabrics comprised of dinner and evening outfits, men’s casuals, sweaters, floral and half shoulder dresses, blouses, casual women shorts, top dresses, beads, and wedding veils to mention but a few.

The show was supposed to come up with an eventual winner who was to be crowned but was skipped with no reasons.

The show was graced by a thunderous performance from Sheeba before being crowned by a cake cutting.
