Stellah Nantubwe is Miss Uganda central region 2013.  She had a chat with Carol Kasujja about her life and experience in the beauty pageant

Describe yourself
I have a positive attitude and I am driven. I love music, I am calm, but sometimes playful.

Miss Uganda is not taken as something serious, what drove you to contest?
Besides the fun, I think Miss Uganda is a serious thing because not all girls have the confidence to do what the contestants do.  Well, I want to get a platform to help other women and share experiences with them.

If you win, how will you spend the money?
I will share it with my mother and give some to charity.

What if you do not win?
I will not be amused, but there can only be one winner.
I will move on and focus on my career. But I hope to win, that is why I have all these books about modelling.

You are good looking, who is the lucky man?
I prefer to keep my dating life private.

What kind of guy would you take to your mother?
An intelligent, ambitious, God-fearing and understanding man. One who loves his family and respects women. If you know any, let me know.

What would you do if you got married to an impotent man?
That is a hard question. I would stick to him because love is not all about sex.
Instead, I would focus on the other good things about him. There is no point in leaving someone you love to look for sex elsewhere.

I would also talk to him about adopting children.

What do you think of sex before marriage?
A woman should keep her virginity for her husband. Girls, stay away from sex before marriage.

When do you intend to get married?
Three years from now. There is no rush. I want to be absolutely sure because I want to get married once, not every five years.

Apart from your mother, who is your role model?
Tereza Mbire. She is a hardworking lady, who reminds me of my mother.
Mbire has done a lot to help other women. I admire women with such character and influence.

You have a good accent, have you ever been abroad?
Yes, I pursued a course in business computing at the University of Greenwich, UK. I also went to schools like Kabojja Junior and Vienna College, where we were encouraged to speak good English.
