Oscar-winning actress, Lupita Nyong'o is in town. The Kenyan-born actress was spotted at musician Maurice Kirya’s Sound Cup café at Garden City over the weekend.
Oscar-winning actress, Lupita Nyong'o is in town. The Kenyan-born actress was spotted at musician Maurice Kirya’s Sound Cup café at Garden City over the weekend.
The actress is due to star in the movie Queen of Katwe, which will be filmed partly in Kampala.
There has been very little word of when the actual filming will start, but since Nyong'o is in town, it could be imminent. The film is based on the life story of chess prodigy, Phiona Mutesi, who fought against all odds to rise from the slums of Katwe onto the international chess scene.
