Maroons FC eager to ride Big League momentum

Maroons could stretch their lead in the Elgon Group when they take on Kirinya in the FUFA Big League. The two sides meet on Thursday at Uganda Prisons stadium, Luzira.

Maroons could stretch their lead in the Elgon Group when they take on Kirinya in the FUFA Big League. The two sides meet on Thursday at Uganda Prisons stadium, Luzira.
Maroons is top of the group with 26 points, four above second-placed side Kirinya Jinja SS.
The Luzira based side beat Creamland 1-0 in their last game while Kirinya thrashed Vision Club California (VCC) 4-0.
Maroons will rely on Abel Eturude in search for victory while on form Jonson Wakalaita ,Musa Magumba and James Otim will be the key pillars for the Jinja based side. Wakalaita scored a double for Kirinya in their last game against VCC.
At Kiira grounds, Kireka United hosts Kasese New Villa while Vision Club California (VCC) play Synergy at Masindi. In Entebbe, Artland Katale take on Busia United.
Elsewhere in the Rwenzori group, table leaders The Saints travel to Mbale to face CRO. CRO did not turn up at Namboole for the first leg and had three points and three goals awarded to the Saints by the FUFA Competitions Committee.
The Saints are top with 35 points while CRO are tenth at 14 points.
At Mengo SS grounds, Water hosts Sporting United while Paidha Black Angels takes on Kumi United at Barokoro in Zombo district
In Luweero, Ndejje plays Ngora Freda Carr while JMC Hippos travels to Namboole to face Hope Doves.
