The national Rugby 15s team has regrouped for training ahead of the Rugby Africa Cup Tier 1 B tournament in Kampala in July.

South African tactician Johannes Beukes arrived last month and is training the team at Kyadondo and Legends Rugby clubs in Kampala.

The Rugby Cranes will battle Senegal, Botswana, Madagascar, Ivory Coast, and Mauritius in the tournament starting July 2-11 and the winner will be promoted to tier 1A.

Uganda in 2013 lost to Kenya in the CAR semifinal and again to Madagascar in the third Play-offs to be relegated to tier1B.

Now coach Johannes and his team of Anthony Kinene, Robert Sseguya, Herbert Wafula and Dr. Leonard Were are seeking to restore Uganda's past status.
