Following his fourth place finish at the Sigona Bowl Open last month USPA male golfer of the year, Willy Kitata returns to Kenya for the Muthaiga Open Championships due February 20-21.
The Ugandan champion leaves on Tuesday for the championship confident of improving his 4th place finish he achieved last year at the same championship.
"I now know the course very well and I'm going for a win. My game is on and feel ready to take on the hosts," Kitata who is also a national team player said before he left.
The Entebbe Club golfer who has one eye on turning pro has competed in several East African tournaments and is the reigning Burundi open champion though he hasn't made a major breakthrough in Kenyan events.
"I'm using all these tournaments as preparations for my professional career this year; I want to start earning from the game" Kitata hinted earlier on this year.
