Is it true that abstaining from sex or not having sex over a long period of time can result in back pain? I have been having back pain for about two years and my friends say when I have sex regularly, the pain will stop.

It is not true that abstaining from or not having sex over a long period can result in back pain. Back pain is a symptom of a problem.
It may be caused by lifestyle problems like poor posture or standing for a long period of time, or underlying medical problems like urinary tract infection, sexually transmitted infections, muscular and skeletal or nerve problems. It is important that you resist from self-medication, especially pain killers and see a doctor for proper examination and treatment.
