Airtel Trace Music Star (ATMS) competition that has been the rage since last year ends this Saturday at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The winner, set to bag sh100m cash prize, will be determined by the number of votes each received, not the judges.

The one with the highest votes will get the money and then take on competitors from seven other African countries that held the same competition.

The winner will then get a chance to record music with American R&B and hip hop recording artiste, Akon.

Brenda Nantongo & Sandra Suubi

ATMS attracted hordes of budding and some established singers who were whittled to five finalists by judges, Producer Washington Ebangit, musician Angella Katatumba and Radio personality James Onen.

The finalists, Brenda Nantongo, Bruno Kigundu, Sandra Subbi Nakitto and local singers Allan Toniks and Dan Flavor have delivered fine vocals and performances that captivated judges during events that were held at Ndere Centre.

Competitors like Nantongo, Kigundu and Nakitto have been such revelations in this competition with their fine vocals and deliveries.

Speaking about the finalists, Airtel Uganda official, Musa Mayanja said: “ATMS is going to give a chance to a gifted Ugandan to realize their dreams. “The competition has paved our competitors a way to both Ugandan and international audiences. May the best competitor win.”
