Uganda coach Milutin Sredojevic believes that home-based players can put up an impressive performance to help the country qualify for the All Africa Games.

Uganda coach Milutin Sredojevic believes that home-based players can put up an impressive performance to help the country qualify for the All Africa Games.

Sredojevic made the remarks during the FUFA weekly press conference at FUFA House, Mengo where 36 players were summoned to the under-23 camp.

“We have been putting emphasis on the local league. We tried to give a chance to the available players in all the (local) leagues and those we picked are the best,” he stated.

The team starts training on Saturday until Monday before a final list of 25 is named to start residential training at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru near Jinja.

Departure to Mozambique is expected later in the week around Wednesday.
