Rugby: Mongers give up title chase

Former Entebbe based Sadolin Mongers team captain Ronald Adigas has admitted his side be regarded as title contenders after their 33-5 defeat to Heathen on Saturday at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

Former Entebbe based Sadolin Mongers team captain Ronald Adigas has admitted his side be regarded as title contenders after their 33-5 defeat to Heathen on Saturday at Kyadondo Rugby Club.


The loss puts Mongers in fifth position behind table leaders Heathens, Kobs, Rhinos and Buffaloes.

"We just need to win our remaining game and stay in the top four positions as we plan for next year's season," Adigas stated.

Heathens (45pts) are top of the League with 2 points ahead of defending champions Kobs (43).

At Legends Justin Kimono found his scoring form managing four tries as scot Oluoch, Colin Kimbowa and Adrian Kasito added a try each to give Kobs 48-0 win over Mutoni Warriors. Rhinos also defeated Impis 34-15 to stay in third place.
