Legendary dramatist Sam Bagenda aka Dr. Bbosa has denied fathering a six-year old child, and even declined requests for a DNA test.

Bagenda is being accused by Angel Joan Ntege, a resident of Lusaze, Lungujja parish in Lubaga, Kampala of refusing to support his now 6-year old daughter, Devine Bagenda.

Through her lawyers, Kizito Lumu & Co. Advocates, Ntege has dragged Bagenda to Family and Children's court at Mengo and the case number is 003 OF 2015.

Joan Ntege dragged Bagenda to court for child neglect

In the suit, Ntege claims she has for the past six years solely looked after their daughter following Bagenda's adamancy in providing upkeep for the child, despite relentless reminders and pestering, and at times empty promises on his part.

Bagenda reportedly told off her lawyer, Martin Muhumuza, that he was not the father of the child, and even declined to take a DNA test when requested.

Ntege, who claims she started dating Bagenda in 2008 after they met at Theatre LaBonita, says she used to work with KIBO Foundation in Nanganda, Makindye, until she conceived in 2009. She has since been hustling to make ends meet.

She is therefore demaning that Bagenda provived upkeep of up to sh1.4m per month, with a breakdown as follows; sh485,000 for fees, sh358,000 for transportation to and from the child's nusery school.

In addition she is demanding sh150,000 as rent, sh100,000 for medical, and sh300,000 for feeding and miscellenious.

Bagenda has been directed to report to the Court on February 17 at 4.30pm.
