Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic caused excitement in Kasese town at the weekend.

Sredojevic was the chief guest at football and netball tournaments held at the Nyakasanga playground.

Many residents of the town, seeing the Serbian coach for the first time, rushed to shake hands with him.

Earlier on, Sredojevic was given a red carpet reception in form of a nylon cloth at the playground.

He travelled with FUFA vice president in charge of administration Darius Mugoye.

Sun City Club from Nyamwamba Division defeated Rukoki United from the same locality 2-1 in the football tournament.

In the netball tournament, Rwenzori Skippers representing Bulembia Division, beat Bulembia Club from Kasese Municipality 44-21.

Sredojevic said one of the top players in the soccer tournament will be called to the national U-23 team.
