Uganda beach soccer team coach Harunah Kebba is optimistic his team can overcome Cameroon in the CAF 2015 Beach Soccer Qualifiers next month if Uganda Beach Soccer Association can offer sufficient support.

Kebba was due to meet UBSA officials to map a strategy for Cameroon in the qualifiers.

Uganda takes on Cameroon in the first leg away in Yaoundé on February 14 before the return leg a week later. It will be Uganda’s debut on the continental scene but Kebba sounded confident to go beyond the first round.

“I know Cameroon is more experienced but their goal scoring record is not scaring. We are at the same level. May be our disadvantage will be that the pitch we use at Lido is not standard,” Kebba noted.

Internationally, Uganda only played a friendly against Zanzibar in December last year and won 5-4 but the team is composed of talented and enthusiastic players who Kebba insists have a bright future.
