Singer Martin Angume dies

Local singer Martin Angume has finally breathed his last from Mulago Hospital where he has been battling a number of ailments.

Angume came to fame in early 2000s with songs like gear, switch among others and won many music lovers' hearts for his fluent Luganda despite not being one.

Angume has been bed-ridden for about a month with Kidney, Liver and Lung complications.

According to sources from Mulago, Angume died Monday afternoon.

One of his his wife Juliet Ssemuga who saw him breathe his last could not talk to the press as she had lost her consciousness.

Angume’s death comes just three days after the entertainment world was shocked by the death of celebrated city DJ Moses Nsereko better known as DJ Momo. Angume’s body is currently at Mulago Hospital.

Angume is survived with two wives and three children.
