Uganda soccer fans have an opportunity of a lifetime to watch their team play at the Camp Nou stadium in August this year.

The team’s global main sponsor, Qatar Airways, in partnership with Aspire Academy under the Football Dreams Africa programme, has offered U-13 players and fans a chance to be part of this year’s tour.

To be part of the lifetime experience one has to register online at www.qatarairways.com/footballdreamsafrica where 20 lucky fans will have the chance be part of Barcelona’s final encounter at the Camp Nou this season.

In the same spirit, Aspire Academy has also begun scouting for young talent in East and West Africa aged 13 years who will play a friendly match against Barcelona’s U-15 team this year.

A total of 30 players are in the final of the Aspire Football Dream 2014 edition but only 20 to 24 talented players will be picked.

The partnership with Aspire Academy, according to Qatar Airways’ CEO Al Baker Akbar, is aimed at supporting socially relevant initiatives.

“We have a proud tradition of supporting meaningful socially relevant initiatives and we believe that the project is an excellent opportunity to make the dreams of young footballers in Africa come true,” Akbar said.

Aspire Academy’s director Ivan Bravo vowed to extend their support in building the game amongst the youth.
