KCCA Football Club’s attacking midfielder Brian Majwega completed his move to Tanzanian giants Azam yesterday.

Majwega, who has been featuring for the Uganda Premier League champions for the last five years, signed a two-year contract with Azam in Kampala.

Azam Chief Executive Officer Saad Kawemba confirmed the move on the club’s website.

“We have signed the Uganda Cranes player on a two-year contract,” the official stated.

The move was sealed at KCCA’s home ground — the Phillip Omondi stadium at Lugogo.

Azam are in Kampala for a series of friendly matches. But financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Last week, Azam tabled a sh100m bid to sign the player who has now joined his former coach George Nsimbe.

Nsimbe signed as an assistant coach at Azam after leaving KCCA recently.

Majwega is Azam’s third signing in three weeks. The club recruited Pascal Serge from El Merriekh while Amir Kiemba is on loan from Azam’s local rivals Simba.
